An 18-bore Balkan flintlock holster pistol, and two Eastern powder-flasks
the first 19th century, the second 18th century and later

The first with russet sighted barrel lightly chiselled and engraved with foliage at the breech, plain grooved tang, lightly engraved bevelled lock and cock, carved full stock, cast brass mounts chased with foliage (one pommel spur bent, trigger-guard finial missing) including pierced side-plate, pewter filigree escutcheon, brass ramrod-pipes, and false ramrod (some wear overall); the second comprising an Ottoman or Persian powder-flask, with hemispherical wooden body covered in leather secured by cord stitching around the back, the front studded with iron nails centred on a disc pierced with arabesques, tapering iron nozzle on a shaped mount, and two iron staples for suspension, and a modern Indian flask, with recurved brass body of tapering circular section bound with copper bands, monster-head nozzle with stopper secured by a brass chain, and further brass suspension chain (3)
