An Elegant Daghestani Miquelet-Lock Pistol
Kubachi, Mid-19th Century

With slender barrel gold-damascened with panels of scrolling foliage at the muzzle and breech, the sighting flat gold-damascened along its entire length with a line of foliage, and retained by two slender gold-damascened barrel bands, long tang extending down the back of the butt and characteristic lock decorated en suite with the barrel, full stock formed from a single piece of dark horn, gold-damascened button trigger and screw-heads, fore-end cap and false ramrod en suite with the barrel, gold-damascened pommel-retaining screw and washer (pommel missing), and in fine condition
