A Continental 32-Bore Percussion Pistol In Caucasian Taste
Mid-19th Century

With browned twist sighted barrel inlaid in silver with a pseudo inscription along the top flat at the breech and struck with an indistinct barrelsmith's mark beneath, foliate engraved case-hardened breech and tang, the latter with back-sight and extending down the back of the butt, back-action lock and hammer en suite, figured half-stock inlaid with silver wire scrollwork (pommel missing), button trigger, and no provision for a ramrod
