With slightly curved blade double-edged towards the point and cut with a narrow fuller along the back for most of its length on each side, the forte damascened with scrolling gold foliage and gilt within the fuller on both sides, characteristic russet steel hilt gilt over incised Mauresque designs, and comprising pointed quillon-block, downcurved quillons and knuckle-guard all with plummet-shaped terminals, and characteristic beaked rhinoceros horn grip (minor insect damage) with enamelled silver-gilt collar, in original velvet-covered wooden scabbard with deep silver-gilt locket and chape each decorated with symmetrical designs along both sides in black and turquoise enamel, the former with mounts for suspension rings (missing)
