A Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss Of Sea Service Type
By Griffin & Tow, London, Circa 1775-80

With three-stage barrel flared at the muzzle and engraved 'London' at the breech, plain tang and signed rounded lock (some pitting), figured full stock with raised apron around the barrel tang, regulation brass mounts including flat butt-plate, and trigger-guard with rounded finial, single brass ramrod-pipe, and original brass-capped ramrod with iron worm, London proof marks and barrelsmith's mark of Joseph Griffin
