With blued rifled barrel (adjustable fore-sight missing, some surface rust along each side beneath the breech) signed in gothic script along the breech (minor scratches) and engraved 'N.S.W. No. 1' on the breech flat, border engraved case-hardened breech with threaded plug, border engraved case-hardened tang (Vernier long range peep-sight missing), border engraved detented flat lock signed in gothic script and with Rigby mirror monogram on the tail, the inside stamped 'J. Stanton', figured half-stock (minor bruising) with chequered grip and fore-end each with dark horn cap, the butt stamped 'NSW' over '1' on the left side, border engraved blued steel butt-plate and serial numbered trigger-guard, the former with mount for a folding long-range sight (missing) on the heel tang, no provision for a ramrod, and retaining nearly all its original finish
