With damascus twist sighted barrels (scattered surface pitting) signed in full along the rib, breeches engraved with symmetrical foliage between and each with platinum line and pierced engraved platinum plug, foliate scroll engraved tang, signed border engraved locks retaining some case-hardening, and dolphin hammers, figured half-stock with chequered grip and fore-end, border engraved steel mounts decorated with foliate scrollwork and comprising butt-plate and trigger-guard, the latter retaining some original blueing, trigger-plate with long slender finial engraved en suite, vacant silver escutcheon, grooved toward trigger, later sling mounts, and brass-mounted ramrod, probably original, London proof marks
