The first with octagonal sighted barrel retaining some original blueing, top-strap signed in full and extending along the top flat, cylinder, border engraved action (defective) decorated with foliate scrollwork, sprung arbor pin and safety-stop, foliate scroll engraved trigger-guard and butt-cap, the latter with hinged butt-trap cover, and chequered rounded butt (split, worn and damaged, pitting overall); the second with browned twist swamped octagonal sighted polygroove rifled barrel, flat bevelled lock, figured half-stock (fore-end reduced) with chequered butt carved with a line of beadwork down the back of the butt, ovoidal pommel with border en suite, steel mounts comprising shaped side-nail plate engraved with adorsed lions, ovoidal butt-cap and trigger-guard bow both engraved with a hound, the latter with foliate finial, and now with no provision for a ramrod, Liège proof (2)
