A .56 flintlock 1801 pattern Sea Service pistol
Early 19th century

With plain bright barrel and tang, border engraved flat bevelled lock with 'GR' crowned, 'Tower' across the tail, and struck below the pan with crowned broad arrow mark, ring-neck cock, figured full stock (minor bruising) with apron around the barrel tang and stamped with inspector's marks, a partly dated crowned broad arrow mark behind the tail of the lock, and with initials 'IG' and 'JM' above the side-plate, regulation brass mounts, belt hook, and brass-tipped ramrod, possibly original, King's proof marks
