An 18-bore East India government percussion service pistol
dated 1867

With sighted barrel and tang, dated flat lock stamped 'Birmingham' and with crowned 'EIG' on the tail, full stock (some marks around the side nail) stamped with inspector's marks on one side by the trigger-guard, and with circular Birmingham 'E.I.G' mark and supplier's name 'Isaac Hollis & Son' opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts including ovoidal butt-cap with lanyard swivel, and stirrup ramrod (steel parts with some rust patination), Ordnance view and proof marks
