A very rare 32-bore first model seven-barrelled flintlock volley gun

With russet barrels sighted and with a rib along the top, the barrel on the right side with faint traces of maker's name at the breech, plain tang grooved for sighting, flat bevelled back-action lock (cock and sear-spring replaced) engraved 'Tower' and with remains of 'GR' crowned across the tail, the interior of the plate stamped 'HN' over '9', and steel-spring mounted beneath the pan, the latter stamped with crowned broad arrow Ordnance mark beneath, figured butt (some bruising, repaired above the lock), brass mounts of service pattern comprising rounded scroll side-plate, butt-plate and trigger-guard, brass ramrod-pipes, the forward one with ramrod-retaining spring, and later ramrod (some wear overall, steel parts with light pitting), Tower private proof marks
