With browned twist barrel signed at the breech and with bayonet lug also forming the fore-sight at the muzzle, breech with browned bolster on one side threaded for a disc-shaped primer retainer, plain tang with swept shield on the right side, signed case-hardened flat lock, bevelled hammer, the nose fitted with a percussion nipple, figured full stock (minor bruising) with circular recess for a spare nipple beneath the butt, regulation brass mounts, sling loops, steel ramrod, probably original, and some original finish, Birmingham proof marks
