Of steel, with two-piece skull rising to a comb with turned edge, tubular spirally-fluted plume-holder at the rear, peaked fall with riveted face-guard and both with double line borders, the former with recessed turned edge, the latter mask-like, pierced with a small triangular 'mouth' and with two circular arrangements of holes for ventilation, a pair of rectangular vision slits above with embossed edges, bevor shaped to the chin and pivoted at the same points as the visor, single gorget plates front and rear, the former drawn-out to a blunt point and each with recessed turned border with a row of domed steel lining rivets, and hook-catch on the right side (some rust patination overall)
