A Flintlock Box-Lock Tinderlighter, And A Sino-Tibetan Fire-Steel
The First By R. Hollis, Birm.m, Early 19th Century, The Second 19th Century

The first with brass body signed within an oval above banners on each side, integral circular pan with curved arm on one side for the threaded turned sconce, steel trigger-guard engraved with a star, pierced brass bipod with scrolled feet, and figured flat-sided butt (filled hole, some patination); the second of characteristic form and pierced with an upper border of scrollwork above brass ropework, leather wallet with silver mounts, the flap (some damage) with hook catch and set with three cabochon red corals (corallium rubrum), surmounted by a silver suspension mount with dragon-head terminals and carrying a scrolled handle and a ring for suspension (2)
