A Rare continental combined priming-flask and wheel-lock spanner
Early 17th century

With body formed from a section of polished cow horn incised with star-like motifs within borders of scrollwork and fitted with a medial foliate brass band, brass mounts engraved en suite with the body and comprising nozzle with chiselled sprung tap and two spanners of square section moulded on each end, rounded basal cap with upper border of ropework and baluster finial set with two brass discs, and large brass ring for suspension
