Eleven various powder- and shot-flasks for percussion firearms
All 19th century

Comprising a James Dixon & Sons rifle flask with bag-shaped body covered in black pigskin (some scuffing), and white-metal top mount with adjustable nozzle (cut-off spring incomplete, tap spring missing), the latter graduated from 4 to 5 Drams; a G. & J.W. Hawksley wildfowling flask with bag-shaped body covered in black pigskin, and white-metal top with adjustable nozzle graduated from 3 to 5 Drams; an AM Flask & Cap Co. wildfowling flask with fluted bag-shaped copper body embossed with lines of graduated beadwork, and fixed nozzle for a large charge; another by the same maker, with fluted copper body, brass top (cut-off spring missing) with nozzle graduated from 4 to 6 Drams, and with four split-rings for suspension; a G. & J.W. Hawksley sporting gun flask, with bag-shaped copper body embossed with foliate fluting, lacquered brass top (cut-off spring incomplete) with nozzle graduated from 2 1/4 to 3 Drams; another, in very poor condition; four various shot-flasks, each with leather body, one tooled with hanging game above 'James Dixon & Sons', another tooled with the royal arms above 'London', and another, with pivoting adjustable nozzle with inspection windows and nozzle stamped 'Boche Ieur A Paris'; and a Continental brass-mounted flask of pistol type, with tapering copper body of ovoidal section, top mount stamped '33', and three rings for suspension (11)
