A very rare Bow pickle stand, circa 1760

Of large four-tiered form and left in the white, the broad shell-moulded foot supporting three large shells arranged around the central column, smaller columns between them supporting the second tier, the third tier modelled in similar style, the fourth formed from a single circular shell, the foot, central stem and smaller supports applied with a range of shells, corals and weed, 40.8cm high (top shell restored, a few chips and fine cracks)
