An English delftware hors d'oeuvres dish, circa 1750

Of lobed circular form, press-moulded with five segments arranged around a central compartment, supported on the underside by five bun feet, painted in blue with flowering branches, a border of scrolls and leafy stems inside the rim, 22cm diam (a few rim chips, fine glaze cracks)

A similar dish in the Victoria and Albert Museum is illustrated by Michael Archer, Delftware (1997) and said to be probably Lambeth High Street, William Griffith. Wasters of similar trays were found in Lambeth
