A very rare Baccarat faceted garlanded 'thousand petalled' red rose paperweight, circa 1850

The finely-detailed dark red, full-blown flower on a stem with a single closed bud and nine leaves arranged all around, the fine outer garland formed of alternate white cogged canes and green pastry-mould canes, cut with a top window and six side printies, star cut base, 8.1cm diam, 5.3cm high

Garlands are rarely found with Baccarat thousand-petalled roses and the inclusion of a bud is another unusual feature.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
