A Clayton Moore The Lone Ranger mask
ABC-TV, 1949-1957. A molded black mask made of felt with a hardening agent, with adjustable elastic strap, on a custom Plexiglas display mount housed in a Plexiglas case on a wooden base. The iconic mask worn by Clayton Moore as the Western crime-fighter, made from a cast of Moore's face. This is a slightly smaller version of the Lone Ranger's original, larger mask; the smaller one improved Moore's peripheral vision which was critical for performing some of his own stunts. This mask was on display in Moore's house for many years, until his death in 1999. With a letter of authenticity from Dawn Moore, Moore's daughter.
