A Tod Browning leather wallet and four membership cards
Tan leather wallet stamped in gilt ("Tod Browning") to inner flap, containing four membership cards: Directors Guild of America card, 1960-1961, unsigned; Freemason Lodge membership card, stamped Nov. 1, 1958, signed ("Tod Browning") in blue ballpoint pen; Automobile Club of Southern California, expiration date April 1, 1959, signed ("Tod Browning") in black ink to verso; Malibu Township Council community association membership card, signed ("Tod Browning") in blue ink, dated 4/1/61 in blue ink, stamped May 26, 1960 to verso. Tod Browning was a proud, longtime Mason and encouraged his friend William S. Hart, Jr. to join. Browning's membership card indicates that he was a high-ranking 32nd Degree Mason, which means he had achieved Shriner status.
