William Goetz's copy of the screenplay of A Yank in the R.A.F.
Twentieth Century-Fox, 1941. Mimeographed Manuscript with no author attribution, approx. 164 pp, n.d. (but blue revision pages dated as late as August 11, 1941), housed in custom burgundy morocco gilt binding with Goetz's name at lower right and with 38 8 x 10 inch gelatin silver print stills from the movie bound in, minor wear, otherwise fine. In custom slipcase. A Yank in the R.A.F. paired Twentieth Century-Fox's two most bankable stars, Tyrone Power and Betty Grable, as a cocky American pilot and a showgirl in London during the outbreak of war with Germany. Goetz was Louis B. Mayer's son-in-law and one of the founding partners of Twentieth Century Pictures. These deluxe edition scripts were occasionally presented to stars and executives at the conclusion of filming.
