Three costume designs for The Buccaneer
Paramount, 1938. Including a watercolor and pencil Travis Banton costume design of Franciska Gaal as Gretchen wearing an elaborate evening gown with star embellishment seen at the victory ball, initialled by the artist in pencil and approved by Cecil B. DeMille, with corresponding reproduction black and white still from the film; a watercolor and pencil costume design by Natalie Visart of Margot Grahame as Annette, signed in pencil by the artist; and a gouache and pencil costume design possibly by Franklin Dwight of Fredric March as Jean Lafitte - all with studio ink stamp, "C. B. DeMille Productions Art Dept."
