A group of Gordon Douglas gifts: a silver cigarette case from Guy Madison, a Frank Sinatra pin, and an Eddie Cantor pendant
Comprising a silver cigarette case with wooden interior, engraved "For Gordon (Tiger) Douglas / -With deepest gratitude for / 'The Charge at Feather River' / Guy / Christmas, 1953"; a gold-plated belt buckle later reworked into a pin, engraved "Gordon / Let's do one again - / soon / Frank / 9-1-54"; and a gold-plated pendant in the shape of a director's chair with small stone [setting], engraved "To Gordon / Xmas '48 / Eddie Cantor." These gifts were presented to Douglas by Guy Madison for The Charge at Feather River (1953), Frank Sinatra for Young at Heart (1954), and Eddie Cantor for If You Knew Susie (1948), Cantor's last feature film.
