Pen and ink on board, framed, signed ("Hirschfield") in black ink in the lower right corner, with "3" written by signature, with Sotheby's "Property from the Estate of Katharine Hepburn" sticker to frame.
A quintessential example of Al Hirschfeld's style, this caricature depicts Katharine Hepburn and Nick Nolte in the black comedy Grace Quigley (1984). The film starred Hepburn as an elderly dowager who hires a hitman (Nolte). This drawing was used as the film's one-sheet poster art.
