A Joan Crawford bell necklace
Gilt metal endless necklace of chain and bells worn by Joan Crawford, designed by the famed Joseff of Hollywood. Though many of these bell necklaces have surfaced, this is the only such necklace which is "endless," as is the one in the accompanying photo of Crawford. It was donated by Joseff's widow for a silent auction, and she later gave the consignor details about Crawford's excitement upon wearing the necklace. Accompanied by a reproduction photo of Joan Crawford wearing the necklace and a detailed provenance.
