A group of Shirley Temple signed photographs
Comprising approximately 31 gelatin silver prints, most 8 x 10 in, 8 signed ("Shirley Temple") in ink; with a program to Wee Willie Winkie (1937), 16 pp, signed and inscribed ("Love, / Shirley Temple"); fifteen 3 ½ x 5 ½ in promotional postcards for Wee Willie Winkie including some duplicates; a 9 x 13 in tinted photograph of Temple; 4 small promotional photographs of Temple with preprinted autographs; a small color lithograph of Temple in The Little Princess (1939); a copy of the July 13, 1936 issue of Grauman's Chinese Theater's The Playgoer, featuring Temple's film Poor Little Rich Girl (1936) annotated by a fan about spotting Temple at the screening; an 8 x 10 in photograph of Jane Withers signing autographs, signed and inscribed "To / Virginia / Lovingly / Jane Withers," and an 8 x 10 photograph from Party Wire (1935), signed and inscribed "Love- / Shirley Jean Brown"; along with various other mass-produced images of Temple. This Shirley Temple collection was amassed by a young 1930s Los Angeles fan, Virginia Ann Forsyth. The scene stills of Temple in this lot are from Bright Eyes (1934), Baby Take a Bow (1934), The Littlest Rebel, The Little Colonel (both 1935), Just Around the Corner (1938), and one tinted still from Poor Little Rich Girl.
