Steve McQueen custom gold sunglasses worn while making Le Mans
Cinema Center Films, 1971. Custom-made sunglasses with plastic lenses in gold-tone frames, with "Steve McQueen" engraved along upper edge, housed in a wooden case with lid and green felt lining. These aviator-style sunglasses were worn by McQueen during the production of the documentary-style racing film Le Mans, in which he starred. These sunglasses were built by celebrity optician Dennis Roberts of the Optique Boutique and come with a COA from Roberts and photographs of McQueen wearing the glasses.
