A photograph of John F. Kennedy inscribed to Rudy Vallée
Gelatin silver print, inscribed "For Rudy Vallee / with warm personal regards" and signed ("John Kennedy") in ink, framed. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy saw the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying starring Rudy Vallee and Robert Morse. He so admired the show that he presented both Vallee and Morse with signed, inscribed photographs. In Mimi Alford's memoir Once Upon a Secret, Alford recalls Kennedy playing the show's cast album at the White House.
