A large archive of Rudolph Valentino photographs
Comprising approximately 950 photographs, most prominently featuring Rudolph Valentino, many original with studio and photographers' stamps and other markings, most 8 x 10 in, including numerous stills from his films The Sheik (1921); Blood and Sand (1922); The Sainted Devil, and his unfinished project, The Hooded Falcon (both 1924); The Eagle (1925); Son of the Sheik (1926); and others; many candids, including numerous photographs of Valentino with his wife Natacha Rambova; seven 11 x 14 in photographs; approximately 75 smaller photographs; approximately 350 smaller negatives (most 4 x 5 in) and 110 larger negatives (most 8 x 10 in); a group of 4 x 5 in negatives and snapshots from a Miami, Florida trip; 15 pp of proof sheets of a dog and horses (probably Valentino's); sets under construction; a portrait photograph of Pola Negri in Three Sinners (1928); 7 framed photographs; and more.
