A prop drummer case and contents from The Day of the Locust
Paramount, 1975. A hinged leather case, labeled "Harry Greener," containing 4 prop bottles marked "Miracle Solvent Polish," with invoice pad and "Movie Star Guide" booklet props. In The Day of the Locust, faded comic Harry Greener (Burgess Meredith) barely ekes out a living selling cheap polish in 1930s Hollywood. Meredith received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actor for the role. With a letter of authenticity from producer Jerome Hellman.
