A production drawing for The Night of the Iguana
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1964. Mixed media on board, unsigned, matted and framed. This artwork for John Huston's adaptation of Tennessee Williams' homonymic play depicts Rev. Shannon (Richard Burton) and Maxine (Ava Gardner) on one of the film's rural Mexican sets. This drawing is likely by Stephen B. Grimes, who customarily drew many preproduction illustrations. Grimes designed eleven of Huston's films.
