A group of production drawings from The Yearling
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1946. Comprising four production illustrations, pencil and conte crayon on board, artist unknown, with typed labels featuring scene descriptions to versos. These illustrations depict various scenes from this family classic about Jody, a rural youngster who adopts an orphaned fawn. Three drawings show key moments from the film's bear hunt sequence; one of these depicting bounding dogs has attached to its verso a detailed diagram from multiple angles of the camera track setup required for the shots. The other drawing has a series of individual storyboards laid in of Jody and his friend Fodderwing playing with caged animals, labeled "Fodderwing Clearing" to verso.
