John Calley's bound screenplay of Bicentennial Man, signed and inscribed by Robin Williams
Buena Vista, 1999. Xerographic manuscript, screenplay by Nicholas Kazan, 120 pp recto and verso, n.d., bound in blue leather with film's title logo stamped in silver to front cover and spine and "John Calley" stamped to lower front cover, inscribed, "John / Thank you for / making this a reality" and signed ("Robin Williams") to front matter, with 5 x 6 ¾ in photograph of Williams laid in.
Director Chris Columbus' Bicentennial Man starred Robin Williams as an android growing progressively more human. As production began, the film's massive budget drove studio executives to nearly cancel it; then-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment John Calley stepped in and agreed to finance it, saving the film; hence Williams' grateful inscription.
