A Winona Ryder jacket from Heathers

New World Pictures, 1988. Oversized, 1980s-style black blazer with padded shoulders and a patchwork design throughout, with one large mother-of-pearl button located in the front. Ryder wears this blazer in the opening scene in the school lunch room, where she meets her eventual partner in crime, Christian Slater. Arguably Winona Ryder's most popular film, it catapulted her to stardom in the 1980s. Heathers is a dark comedy about peer pressure and death that today is a cult classic. Accompanied by a DVD of the film.
Provenance: Divine Design Auction, 1990s.
