Discovered in 1881, Admire is unique among pallasites in that its olivine crystals display chatoyancy, a fascinating change of luster within a gemstone due to the way in which light is reflected. The present specimen is a beautiful slice of this distinctive meteorite, displaying large olivine crystals in a brightly polished matrix. Weighing approximately 565 grams and measuring 9.75 x 7.5 x .125 inches
