Russian Obsidian, Diamond, Gold and Quartz Flower Study--"Snakehead"
Carved by a contemporarly Russian lapidary artist, depicting a campanile species flower known as "the snakehead", each flowerhead carved of Russian brown and black obsidian, polished to a mirror bright sheen, the flowers set with small diamonds to the center. Naturalistically rendered stems of 18K yellow gold adorned with seven leaves having serrated edges. Set into an optically clear rock crystal quart vase, rimmed with gold to the base. Height 6in
