An Egyptian limestone relief
New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, circa 1320-1200 B.C.
Possibly from Saqqara, four male figures pulling on a rope, presumably hauling a sledge which would have carried a cult image, apparently Osiris, whose name is inscribed in hieroglyphs at the far top right, the male figure in the middle turned towards the god, burning incense, a longer column of hieroglyphs saying 'making an incense offering', the figure on the far right emptying a vessel in front of the missing sledge, 49.4cm x 40.4cm
