A pair of Bohemian goblets and covers, later 19th century

In clear glass, the cup shaped bowls with deeply-cut petal-shaped frills at the bases, the broad fluted covers and spreading feet also cut with petal-shaped lobes around the rims, the bowls reserved with large chamfered rectangular panels both engraved with the same subject of two figures in Turkish costume on horseback hunting a lioness, one figure holding a pistol and a lance, the other firing a rifle at the leaping lioness in the foreground, a desert scene with palm trees in the distance, 45cm high (4)

Saleroom notices

Although earlier in style, it is likely these goblets are of recent manufacture and they probably date from the later 20th century.
