A Bohemian amber stained goblet and cover, circa 1840-50

Probably Harrachov glassworks, engraved possibly in the Pelikan workshop, Meistersdorf, the broad fluted flared bowl on a wide octagonal base, the front panel finely engraved with a pack of six hounds confronting a wild boar within a forest, two of the side panels unusually engraved with parrots, a circular viewing lens on the reverse, on a fluted knopped stem and heavy scalloped foot cut with fan shaped panels on the underside, the domed and fluted cover engraved with a border of flowers, 35.5cm high (2)
