A Bohemian part amber stained goblet and cover, circa 1850-70

Possibly by August Bohm, Meistersdorf, of campana shape cut with broad flutes, the raised oval panel stained in amber and engraved with a portrait of William I, King of Prussia in full uniform on horseback, the bowl with a scalloped base, the conical cover and knopped spreading foot all broad fluted with part amber staining, 36cm high (2)

Footnotes

The future Emperor William I was crowned as King of Prussia in 1861. This goblet was probably created to mark the occasion.
