A Westerwald stoneware pewter-mounted tankard, mid 18th century

Decorated with two wide blue-ground bands moulded with medallions containing rosettes alternating with grey moulded floral borders, between two thin blue-ground bands, from top of thumbpiece: 22.5cm high, the pewter marked MBG 1689 (damage and restoration, resoldering to pewter cover)
