With broad double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section widening at the point, long rectangular ricasso with two downcurved sharply pointed side-lugs, the iron guard with arched quillons flattened towards the trefoil-shaped ends, double side-rings on each side, the outer ones swelling towards the centre, large globular pommel with turned button, and later wooden grip
