A Scottish 28-Bore Brass-Barrelled All-Metal Flintlock Pistol
Mid-18th Century

With three-stage barrel (worn) with engraved flaring octagonal muzzle and fluted breech with raised ramp at the rear, the central section engraved with symmetrical sprays of foliage, plain rounded lock (top jaw and screw replaced), iron three-quarter stock with ram's horn butt, the trigger and pricker each with bulbous head, and later ramrod with turned tip (the iron parts surface pitted)
