This bracelet's use of onyx in a geometric design typifies the stylistic tastes and refined elegance of the Art Deco (1915-1935) period. It is this perfect balance of bold design and elegance for which jewels by Lacloche Frères are particularly known. A small family-owned jewellery house once counted among the celebrated houses of Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, and founded in 1875 in Madrid by four brothers. The house was active until the 1950s, and reached its pinnacle between the two World Wars, with a much admired appearance at the Salon des Arts Décoratifs of 1925. Their limited production of fine jewellery means this bracelet is a rare and timeless example of the jewellery of this important jewellery house.
