Two Albanian 18-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistols (Kubura)
19th Century, Probably Péc

The first with two-stage barrel with applied engraved brass panel along the top, foliate engraved octagonal breech with three brass panels en suite, tang also en suite, foliate engraved rounded lock chiselled with foliage on the tail, figured full stock carved with foliage along the fore-end and inlaid with silver wire, pellets and brass pins on the butt, mounts comprising silver-damascened side-plate and trigger-guard, spurred silver pommel cast and chased with foliage inhabited by a Classical warrior on each side, rounded cap with foliage, silver muzzle-sleeve and ramrod-pipe embossed with foliage, large vacant silver escutcheon, and brass ramrod; the second of similar form, the barrel chiselled with foliage at the breech, foliate engraved flat bevelled lock, and false white-metal ramrod (some wear and rust patination, cock repaired) (2)
