With European broad double-edged blade with shallow central fuller over nearly its entire length on both sides, the fuller on one side at the forte incised with the Ottoman (St. Irene) arsenal mark, hilt comprising iron quillon-block with bluntly-pointed double langets and waisted quillons widening to flattened 'fishtail' terminals, faceted pommel-cap showing copper brazing, and original leather-covered wooden grip seamed along one side and with brass-lined hole at the top for a thong (iron parts with some pitting overall)
