A Rare Cased 38-Bore Adams Patent 1851 Model 'Dragoon' Five-Shot Self-Cocking Percussion Revolver

With blued octagonal sighted barrel, blued top-strap signed in full and extending along the top flat, serial numbered cylinder, blued border engraved frame decorated with foliate scrollwork and numbered '67051' on the tang, blued trigger-guard and ovoidal butt-cap en suite, blued trigger, safety-stop, arbor pin and catch, chequered figured rounded butt with steel mount for a shoulder-stock, and most of its original finish: in contemporary relined and refitted oak case with accessories including brass bullet mould and Hawksley powder-flask, the last retaining some of its original finish and with split-ring for suspension (cut-off spring incomplete), the interior of the lid with reproduction trade label, the exterior with vacant circular brass escutcheon, London proof marks
