A Fine Cased 54-Bore Adams Patent 1851 Model Self-Cocking Five-Shot Percussion Revolver
Retailed By Deane, Adams & Deane, No. 30 King William St.t, London Bridge, No. 15133.R., Circa 1855

With blued octagonal sighted barrel with double line engraving along the angles and a decorative band around the muzzle, blued border engraved top-strap signed in full, serial numbered cylinder engraved around the forward edge, blued border engraved frame decorated with scrolling foliage, trigger-guard en suite (some loss of finish) and numbered '1386' on the inside, foliate engraved ovoidal butt-trap with hinged circular cover decorated with a scallop shell, bright hammer, blued trigger, spring safety-stop, arbor-pin, threaded stop and screw-heads, chequered figured rounded butt, and in fine condition retaining much of its original finish: in contemporary lined and fitted oak case with extra cylinder serial numbered to the revolver and some accessories including brass bullet mould, the interior of the lid with maker's yellow trade label, the exterior with vacant circular brass escutcheon, London proof marks
