Early 18th Century

Of bright steel, the flat plate with raised central panel engraved in bas-relief against a finely punched ground with a landscape scene inhabited by a horseman and cuirassiers in contemporary costume, buildings and a lake beyond, foliate engraved flat tail, enclosed wheel, sprung sliding pan-cover, the bridle to the chiselled cock-spring engraved with a martial trophy against a finely punched ground, and the cock with the seated figure of Mars en suite
20 cm.
